Maia Larraz (b. 1990, Miami, FL) is an American artist, painter and designer. The daughter of Cuban and Colombian immigrants, she earned a BFA in Womenswear Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City, as well as studying Womenswear and Illustration at Central Saint Martins in London, England.

After years in the fashion industry, Larraz returned to painting, her first love, following the birth of her first child. Her practice spans oil painting, ceramics, textiles and sculpture, exploring themes of motherhood, identity, transformation and liberation.
​
She has collaborated as an illustrator with brands like The Elder Statesman, Tigra Tigra, DAPHiNE and Blooming Dreamer, creating bespoke illustrations and hand-crafted visual assets. She has worked creatively with brands like Bottega Veneta, FENDI, Chloe, NET-A-PORTER and many more.

She now lives in London, raising her two daughters and developing her multidisciplinary practice. Her paintings have been exhibited in New York, London and Miami.
